Shopping for Indian Goods

My girlfriend is obsessed with anything indian. Since its going to be our first time in Kathmandu, can anyone tell me where we can shop for ornate glass bangles, saris and material for shalwar kameez suits?

You can buy virtually everything anywhere in KAthmandu. Especially around Thamel - though this tends be to more touristy items but still fun. Durbar Marg - around the palace is good for some more expensive items. Generally there are good shops wherever you go.
