To help my knees I am looking at using trekking poles for the first time when I trek in December. Should I buy these in Australia and bring them or can I buy / rent in Kathmandu? Anyone have any idea re cost to buy / rent in Kathamndu?

You will be able to buy them very cheaply in KTM. I suggest Shona%26#39;s in Thamel.
