In and Around Pokhara

Hi, I am looking for some information about these locations in Pokhara.

How long/far up to the World Peace Stupa?

How long/far to Seti Gandaki?

How long/far to Devi%26#39;s falls?

Can I do two or all of these in one day?

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi f1star,

Yes, I believe you can do it in one day all 3 of them. You will have to hire a taxi for a day for 100 ruppees (or more?), you have to barter hard. Tell the taxi driver where you want to go first, I believe the Devi%26#39;s Falls and the World Peace Stupa are close by, get a map once in Pokhara and chart your route to these places.

Thanks!

agree with previous reply. Also, there is a new Himalayan Mountaineeering Museum in Pokhara that may be very worth while. Don%26#39;t forget sunrise at Sarkanot

The info above is correct. Also try to visit a Tibetan refugee craft centre if you can. There are some good restaurants by the Lake.

I have visited Pokhara about 4 times in the past several years. So many beautiful things to see and places to visit there. You should take a walk along Lakeside, especially in the afternoon - it%26#39;s beautiful. Many amazing shops with good prices for lovely gifts to take home.

My favorite shop is the Pokhara Cottage Emporium - the shopkeeper is this incredible guy who will invite you in for delicious tea and show you all kinds of beautiful handicrafts - no pressure. Lots of fun talking and learning about Nepal. Worth stopping there too - opposite Fishtail Lodge Gate.

Have a great trip!
