Hello,
My friend and I are going to trek to Everest BC this October of 2007. The company we are going through offers to provide us with equipment or for a couple hundred dollars extra, to provide us with equipment. As far as I know, this only means a sleeping bag and an %26#39;appropriate%26#39; down jacket.
Can someone give me some recommendations about what they brought and maybe what they wished they did bring?? Also, just any advice in general would be helpful!
Thank you!
Katherine
Equipment needed for Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek
I am doing the everest bc trek in november and did the annapurna sanctuary trek in feb.
I would recomend a down jacket and down sleeping bag, you could purchase this in Kathmandhu at Shonas(oposite Kilroys Bar),cheaper than the usa
I find wiking tshirts a must, fleece, fleece hats, goretex rainwear, treking poles also there are some good kit lists in companies web sites that arrange charity treks (search google),
Equipment needed for Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek
You have to bring down jacket, trouser, some paris of socks, sunglass, sunblock cream and other personal things. for the sleeping bag and trekking boats you can hire on the kathmandu in reasonable price. i have already been in EBC awesome place.
