Hotel Himalaya or Dwarika's ?Advice please.

Hi,I am thinking about taking a 2 week organised tour to Kathmandu/Chitwan.The first 3 nights are at the Himalaya and the last night at Dwarika%26#39;s.I would like to add on an extra couple of nights and wonder which would be the best choice between those two.Is Dwarika%26#39;s a long way out from where the shops/restaurants are? How long would it take by taxi?I%26#39;ve never been to Nepal before so any information about anything would be gratefully received.Many thanks.

Greetings from Nepal..

If you have choosed to stay at Himalaya and Dwarika%26#39;s in your holiday period of Nepal then I really recommend you both places because Dwarika Hotel is one of the best,comfort and typical nepalese atmosphere resort in Kathmandu. Compare with Dwarika,Himalaya Hotel is quite far from Airport(9km)and still nice place to stay.

So, I hereby let you know that both places are situated in Kathmandu and Patan and if you know some most touristic area in kathmandu which is known by Thamel and has got lots of restaurants,bars,shoping places and from there just 10 to 15 min drive to Dwarika and if you take taxi from Thamel to Himalaya Hotel then takes more than 30 minutes by taxi.

So, Look both places and if you need any further assistance feel free to write here or send you interest at nakulnpatgmaildotcom..

And hope above informations are quite easy for you to decide somethings better..

so , hotel himalaya or dwarkia...i guess tht is all too far away for fun places and rather just not so touristic area...i live near dwarkia hotel in kathmandu simply saying they dont have good food on the resturent near by neiter you can find good music or something like tht ... and talking about the night life they dont have live bands near dwarkia neither also i guess apart from bigger swimming pool and nice rooms.. dwarkia and himalya hotel are just like for... some silent holidays dude you wanna have some cool days in nepal live in thamel you just expericance everything..... and morever you can just find good hotels like himalya and dwarkia in thamel also .....i guess if you have to choose between two of them you gottta live in himalaya cause a cafe called new orelans bar,some good bakeris and some cool places like zoo are also located near himalya hotel and the palce is quite silent not liek in dwarika ...have a good days dude
