The person starting this thread will tell you about the weather situation that he encountered.

For the weather update of the future, you could use this %26#39;Weather application%26#39; from a travel site about Nepal.

What I am interested to know is what was the situation in the trekking route when there was heavy security presence at the Everest trekking route and at the Base Camp? Did you go through the security checks and if so, how was the experience?

kathmandu is hot, day treks were warm, light pants and thin long sleeves or short sleevs, treks near base camp were warm/cool, i wore thin long underwear and light pants, although im usualy cold, so the long underwear might not be necessary

at base camp it was zero at night, that was the coldest night

i think its still smart to bring everything as the weather changes quickly

there was really only one place the soldiers looked in our bags, which was a joke, they just opened the top of my backpack and asked if i had any wine : )

they were all nice, no problems, plus i heard they are all gone now bc china already summited
