Is it beneifical to obtain a Visa in the UK before travelling to Nepal or wait until arrival in Kathmandu Airport.

I assume the cost is the same - £20 in the uk, equivalent in Nepal.

Good hear that you are heading to Nepal and concern about issue the visa,there is not any different either issue in uk or arrival at kathmandu airport and apply because system to issue the visa for foriegners is extremely esaier and ofcourse you should have 2 copies of pp size photos.

Infact,system of issuing visa here in nepal can be possible by two different way such as if you are travelling nepal just for 3days,you shouldn%26#39;t need to pay anything and just show your passport to the immigration officer and will put the stamp for 3days but if you are travelling here more than that you should pay 30US$ which is valid for 60days and in between you may travel all over nepal without any hesitation.

hi we got our visas at the airport

which is a wait - but goes quick - just have every thing ready - its interesting to see the groups of trekkers ( wish i had the staminer )

Our 2 kids aged 10 %26amp; 12 were never given a visa - so we went all that time in Nepal and they never had a legal document - but on our departure it took about half an hour for a bloke to fill 2 out for them this also happened to other children ( FUNNY ) WE ARE GOING BACK NEXT FEB AND WILL MAKE SURE THEY HAVE THEM THIS TIME AS WE NEARLY MISSED THE PLANE- HAVE FUN

I%26#39;m not actually going to Nepal it%26#39;s my partner but trying to get 4 males to sort anything out is impossible so it has been left to me to do the ground work!

Not sure who he is ging to get to fill his landing card in on the plane because thats the %26#39;things%26#39; I do for him!!!

As Naku says it%26#39;s real easy. They do give you a landing card to fill out. The visa applications are on a table right after you get off the plane. Be sure you have the 30 USD and the photos. There are two lines - the gratis visa line if you%26#39;re staying three days or less and the regular line. There is a wait but don%26#39;t worry, they must have the slowest baggage unloading in the far east!!
