Rickshaw Run - somewhere to stay?

Hi,

I%26#39;ll be in Kathmandu for 2 nights at the end of this month. I was hoping to get some advice on places ot stay. A small guest house, centrally located would be preferable to a hotel....maybe somewhere near the night life?!? ;)

If you want a centrally located place which is near the night life, then Thamel would be the ideal place.

Yes, Thamel is the tourist area - where all the shops, restaurants, bars, internet, etc are located. I recommend Tibet Guest House which is on Chhetrapati road (about 2 minutes walk from Thamel). Quiet, descent, family-owned and truly affordable. Check their website for more info.
