Rabies jab

Getting conflicting info whether we need to have a Rabies Jab.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Personally, I%26#39;ve never had one when travelling around. As far as I understand, they only buy you a bit of extra time to get to a hospital for treatment. Better to try and just not get in the situation where you could catch Rabies.

I asked the same question prior to my trip to Nepal. Here was the consensus answer:

It%26#39;s most likely not necessary, unless you plan to try to pet the dogs or the monkeys. They might bite. Otherwise, don%26#39;t worry about it. I didn%26#39;t get the shot and don%26#39;t regret it.
