Balloon flight & what currency to take

Hi

I will be travelling to Kathmandu in Oct 08 for a week and would like to do a balloon flight - is this still possible as I understand that Sunrise Hot

Air Balloon is not under operation until further notice?

Also, what is the best currency to take, I am from England so 拢 orUS $- is it easy to find an ATM in Kathmandu?

Please let me know anything else that will make our holiday fab!!!

How easy is it to hire a taxi foe the day and what is the approx cost?

I understand that the shopping is great, can you get DVD, WII games etc from china in Kathmandu?

By the way, in April I found that for the US dollar, the best exchange rate when comparing Kathmandu airport, exchange places in Kathmandu, and exchange places in Pokhara, the best rates were actually offered at the Kathmandu airport, just before crossing immigration.
