Hotel Courtyard Good Choice?

I will be in Kathmandu for 6 weeks, 10/06-11/12. I%26#39;ve made a reservation at Courtyard Hotel. Has anyone stayed there? What was your experience? Good or Bad? What about location? Walking distance to restaurants? Clean?

there is no garden at the Courtyard Hotel but as you would expect there is a great Courtyard ! The hotel is the nicest hotel in Thamel (the main tourist area of KTM) and its rooms are much bigger than other Thamel Hotels. The hotel is tucked away off the main street and so its much quieter than other hotels in the area but is in easy walking distance to all the restaurants. The owners of the hotel are almost always around and quite fun people which adds to the enjoyment of the place.

Since you are in KTM for six weeks and if you are looking to get out of Kathmandu for a break from the hecticness of the City then a trek up in the Shivapuri National Park (30 mins from the Courtyard) is worth considering. There is a great little hidaway home called the Shivapuri Heights Cottage.
