Hi there.
It%26#39;s been well over 10 years since I last went to Nepal as a young single person....and now I%26#39;m middle aged with two kids hehehe. Anyway, I really want to take my family there, so I can show them the most amazing place in the world (in my opinion!).
Does anyone have any tips for anything good to do with two children under the age of 6 in Kathmandu? Something that would perhaps give them a break and a chance to do things they are used to doing?

It%26#39;s pleasure to hear that you are heading to Nepal after 10 years. Well travel to Kathmandu with children is absolutely fine but also like to inform you that it has been more crowded and polluted. Of course you may visit some old heritage sites as well as temples and stupas for couple of days in Kathmandu and spend time out of Kathmandu for other days like as Pokhara,Nagarkot,Chitwan etc.. please write here for more ahead..thank you

Feeling very pleased that you have still same level of excitment as you have 10 years before. ofcourse if anybody furnish their tirp to Nepal, definitely anyone like tend to do it again and again.
As you have your young kids just the age of 6 so better to organize your tirp to Annapurna region upto ghorepani poonhill. Or if it will be very hard for the kids to accopanied upto poonhill then Pokhara valley/Chitwan Jungle safari will be the best option.

Hi we took 2 kids last year to kathmandu a bit older than yours 12 %26amp; 10 and they loved it but still could be hard work - we broke it up and went to chitwan jungle
