Everest Base Camp - to visit or not to visit..that is the qu

Plan to hike from Jiri via Gyoko and loop back to Lukla via EBC trail.

After reading many posts, I am not clear on this. Some people say - it%26#39;s great to see the ';tent city';

and others ';Do not bother, it%26#39;s a dump... ';

What was your impression, your recommendation ? Thank you

Do it....it%26#39;s incredibly bleak, but to me, the actual trek to base camp was one of the hightlights of my whole EBC trek. Just staring directly above you to those amazing peaks, watching spectacular avalanches. Something I%26#39;ll never forget.
