Hiking and rafting near Pokhara

I am heading to Pokhara from the 3rd to 11th of April. My time is limited but I would like to do some hiking and rafting. I am considering doing a short trek in the Annpurna or elsewhere for 2-4 days and then maybe doing a short rafting trip for 1-3 days. What advice can you give me about my itenerary?

I have no gear so I will have to pickstuff up in Pokhara or Kathmandu. What should I do about gear? I am not an experienced trekker and am alone on this trip. I will probably get a guide but I would prefer to join in with another group. How easy is this? I am thinking of tying the %26#39;Royal trek%26#39; and the Seti River. Any suggestions? Know anyone travelling at this time?

How hard is it go get from Kathmandu to Pokhara?

Kathmandu to Pokhara - by tourist bus 6 hours, fairly cheap. By plane 25 minutes, pricier (I think around £50) but if you are shorter on time than on budget well worth it, and on a clear daythe views to the Ganesh, Manaslu and Annapurna Himals are magic (sit on the right-hand side of the plane !)

I%26#39;ve rafted the Kali Gandaki river a couple of times - great fun (3 grade 4 rapids and lots of smaller fun rapids) 3 days (1/2 day drive from Pokhara, 1%26#39;2 daayrafting, full day rafing, 1/2 day rafting then drive back to Pokhara). A 2 day trip on the Trisuli is fun if you haven%26#39;t rafted before

Vioews from Ghorepani on trek are superb, but it%26#39;s a pretty steady climb (including the 3000+ stairs from Tirkedhunga to Ullieri). Look also at the southern end of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek towards Chomrong - greaat views towards Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Macchepuchare
