Hello

Personally I would not recommend a helicoptor tour to EBC as your parents will have no acclimatisation time as they acsend, which is very important. It is possible to do non trekking tours. Try a couple of the UK based companies to get an idea of what is on offer and cost. Have a look at Exodus, Explore %26amp; Himalayan Kingdoms and the Australian company World Expeditions. All of whom I have travelled with and can recommend.

I really would not trust any agent who says they will just fly your parents up several thousand metres. People do get sick on the way up from the altitude and those trekking days and nights sleeping at high altitude are vital.

Yes, the services are dealt with by local, reputable Nepalese companies where you are assured all the guides, and other staff are well looked after and treated fairly. But there are still some non too reputable companies in KTM.

My suggestion was to actually suss out what is possible by looking at what these larger companies have to offer, to get an idea of what is possible and what is not possible from their itineraries before exploring further.
